Familiar Faces
So our cat has been constantly laying on the Mother-To-Be's belly. Right on top of where the baby is. I swear the cat picked us as a family, because we found her outside our house as a kitten. She sleeps with us every night mostly on MTB's belly as I said. So with that said, On to the topic for today. I believe that the cat is our families familiar, just by the way everything is working out dealing with the cat. So I wanted to ask everyone that reads this to post in the comments if they have a familiar and how it came about.

Welcome to my family!
First I would like to say thank you to anyone who desided to read this blog. I am attempting to raise not only my children, but the household as well with strong Pagan beliefs. I am not married to the mother-to-be of the house, how ever we are together happily. At the moment she between 6-7 months, more closer to 7, and due around the end of July to start of August.
Now at this point I'm sure some of you are thinking "Why doesn't he know the exact date and exactly how far along she is? He is a horrible person for that!" Well I do know the dates the doctor said, however I have seen the doctors be off by a few weeks when it comes to my friends that have had children.
The mother-to-be of the house is very exited as time draws nearer. The topic of how we should raise our daughter came up as of late. We are both Pagans that practice traditions and such from a few different "sects" such as Wicca, Shamanism, Druidism, and so forth. But the majority comes from Wicca. Now my family are very devout Christians, as are hers. The difference is hers actually accept and show tolerance to us for our choice. My own does not even know that we are, only to avoid causing issues in the family. First, we are very proud of our choice. Second, we are very open about our choice. Now we struggle with bills and debt, just like most people. Struggling to keep a happy home, just like most people. I say struggle because I believe that only on T.V. will you see the perfect home without any effort needed.
That being said, lets discuss my plans for my daughter. When she is born, we plan on starting to introduce her to Pagan things. She will be with us when we do rituals, when we celebrate, and when she naps, meditate. Now some of you, I'm sure, may see this as an issue. You may think things like "What place does a newborn have in a ritual? If she cries won't it disturb the ritual?". Well no, a newborn doesn't belong IN the ritual, but she can be there FOR it. I believe that even though she won't remember it, it is still good to be open from the start. Why hide what mommy and daddy do? Also i believe that at age 5 she should have her own altar and tools. Of course it will look like a small version of ours, the athame will be plastic, and the candles will be LED lights. I want her to grow up proud of our religion. At 13 to 15 we will tell her she doesn't have to be Pagan like us, and even help her find out about other religions. But that is a long time away.
After reading this I hope it gives you a bit of an idea about this blog, every few days I will post Ideas, Updates on the Pregnancy and eventually the baby when shes born. Also I will post different segments on personal beliefs and practices. If there are questions and comments, feel free to say your peace. I will be updating it Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. I will also be adding Pictures, and possibly videos.
